EV Spec Base: Electric Commercial Vehicle & Machinery Catalog
EV Spec Base is an English-language data product for researching electric commercial vehicles and working machinery. Its scope includes trucks and vans, municipal fleets, terminal tractors, construction equipment, access platforms, road machinery and underground mining equipment.
Production Dataset
The launch database contains 190 machines from 77 manufacturers across 19 categories. Each model is represented separately from its market configurations, sources and field-level assertions. The public catalog distinguishes 37 verified published models from research-stage records that remain browsable but are excluded from search indexing.
Data-First Architecture
Human-edited manufacturer seed files are the source of truth. A deterministic builder validates them against a JSON schema, checks cross-record integrity and exports a query-oriented SQLite projection. Unknown values remain unknown, measurement bases are preserved and manufacturer claims are not silently converted into universal facts.
Catalog Experience
Visitors can browse and search the complete model directory, manufacturers and equipment categories. Published model pages show lifecycle, powertrain, configurations, technical fields, verification dates and source references in a compact server-rendered interface.
SEO Foundation
Models, manufacturers and categories have stable indexable URLs with canonical metadata. Production generates robots.txt and sitemap.xml directly from the database; research-stage pages receive noindex until they pass editorial and primary-source verification.
Product Value
Passenger EVs have mature data products, while electric trucks and specialized equipment remain fragmented across brochures, press releases and regional manufacturer sites. EV Spec Base creates a structured, auditable foundation for buyers, fleet teams, analysts, writers and future comparison tools.
